The 14u-JD Outlaws were in Kankakee this weekend and did an OUTSTANDING job!!!  Here are some of the highlights from there games this weekend:

Carleigh Curtiss's effort not enough in Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U's 7-1 loss

Not even a strong hitting and pitching performance from Carleigh Curtisscould carry Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U past Yorkville Fury at River Road Park on Saturday as Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U suffered a 7-1 defeat.

Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U was led by Curtiss' hitting. Curtiss went 1-2. She singled in the fifth inning.

Yorkville Fury had no answer for Curtiss, who kept runners off the basepaths in her appearance. Curtiss held Yorkville Fury hitless over two-thirds of an inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

The second inning saw Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Kassie Langheld.

The game's last lead went to Yorkville Fury thanks to a third inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on a two-run error.

Yorkville Fury piled on four more runs in the top of the sixth. Dassenbrock tripled, bringing home Veber and Hilgert to start the inning.

Pitching picks up Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U's offense in 2-1 victory over Lady Playmakers, IN

Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U didn't provide Carleigh Curtiss with much support, but she didn't need much. Curtiss pitched seven strong innings to carry Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U to a 2-1 win over Lady Playmakers, IN in seven innings on Saturday at River Road Park.

In the first inning, Lady Playmakers, IN pushed across its only run of the day on a groundout by Cassady.

Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the fourth inning when it scored on a groundout by Nina Glaweand an RBI single by Kailie Kleemann.

Fourth-inning rally sparks win forDowners Grove Outlaws - Black 14U, 10-4

A six-run explosion in the fourth inning led Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U to a 10-4 win in five innings over Palos Power at River Road Park on Saturday.

Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U scored in the fourth on an RBI single byMacKenzie Davidson, an error, a three-run triple by Kassie Langheld, and a passed ball.

 

Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U was led by Maddie Kafer's hitting. Kafer went 2-2 and scored two runs. She singled in the second and fourth innings.

 

In the top of the first, Palos Power grabbed the early lead, 4-0. #18 kicked things off for Palos Power with a single. A stolen base then moved #18 from first to second. #13 singled, plating #18. Palos Power added more runs when scored on an RBI single by #37 and scored on a fielder's choice.

Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U tied the game in the third on a passed ball that scored Kailie Kleemann.


Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U surrenders sixth inning lead toYorkville Fury in 6-4 defeat

Yorkville Fury took the lead in the sixth inning, and Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U was unable to muster a comeback, losing 6-4 in six innings on Sunday.

 

It was a good day at the plate for Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U'sJeanine Mantooth. Mantooth went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. She singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

 

The bottom of the second saw Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U take an early lead, 1-0. Nina Glawe kicked things off for Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U with a single. A single by Kassie Langheld then moved Glawe from first to second.

Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U answered Yorkville Fury's top inning with two runs of its own in the fifth. Downers Grove Outlaws - Black 14U scored on a solo home run by Mantooth and an RBI double by Langheld.

The game's last lead went to Yorkville Fury thanks to a sixth inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on an error.

Congratulations to the players and coaches on an awesome weekend for the Outlaws!!!

Skler Poel(18u Outlaws) has been accepted to Northwestern Univerity!!
